“From all around the world, with one common goal: To succeed together.” That was the motto guiding the second installment of the Studio20 Academy, held earlier this month in Poiana Brasov, Romania.
Managers, trainers, support teams, photographers, network supervisors and marketers from the organization’s Romanian, Colombian and US-based studios attended the event.
“The first Studio20 Academy took place six months ago, and we only had the Romanian studios participating,” said Mugur Frunzetti, Studio20’s CEO. “This second edition was internationally attended… To say that it was a dream come true wouldn’t be enough.”
The event was held at Poiana Brasov’s Teleferic Hotel, a space with a rich history of its own.
Opening originally in 1970, this classical-style European mountain hotel became incredibly popular very quickly — so much so that its nightclub was considered a resort hotspot during the ‘70s and ‘80s and was known as a place where tourists could meet international stars. The hotel eventually fell on hard times though and stood closed for twenty years. Then, in 2012, it reopened – restored by an enthusiastic man willing to revitalize its prior glory.
Attendees got to experience this glory from the moment they arrived on site. The bright vibrant red of the Studio20 logo was everywhere at check-in when, one-by-one, teams from the studio’s international network arrived. Just like a family reunion, everyone was smiling and happy to see and meet one another.
This goal of the Academy’s second edition was focused on building better connections within the overall Studio20 team — not just within each studio, but also at a global level. Participants worked at establishing and learning new ways to grow models’ revenue, improving leadership and support and sharing different approaches that worked in different locations.
Fifty participants attended the event, during which time they were asked to develop a presentation on any topic related to the organization’s “We Succeed Together” motto. Interactive multi-media talks were then explained by their respective authors to the whole group. The presentations were given feedback — and also graded! The top three presentations received 2000 Euros worth of prizes.
“We know that to build a house you have to have a good foundation. In Studio20’s case, that foundation is the team,” said Andra Chirnogeanu, Studio20’s PR and Marketing Manager.
Chirnogeanu added, “Five years ago, we were just one studio with a dream, and today we are so much closer to Mugur’s vision of 100 studios networked worldwide. When we see so many people, people that not only believe in the same dream that we do but put in so much effort to enable those bigger and better dreams, we know we’re on the right track.”
“This February I’m celebrating 19 years since I started my first cam studio, and today we have 19 international Studio20 franchises. All the studios are doing amazingly well, we have new ones opening and 2019 is going to be one of our busiest years so far,” Frunzetti shared.
Studio20 will soon be opening its twentieth location, which will be celebrated with the #20studio20 motto and hashtag.
“I am a dreamer and an absolute doer,” Frunzetti said. “I always follow my goals until they are reached, no matter how hard it is.”
These types of academies and similar events say a lot about the organization’s that put them on. Models are always encouraged stay fresh when it comes to their workplace strategies. It’s nice to know that the people behind the scenes are always working to refine their hustle, too.
The cam game is constantly evolving. It requires innovation, creative thinking and effort from all parts of the overall space.
