YNOT Cam: What is it like to be nominated in this AW Awards category again?
Khandi Rogers: For me, it’s an amazing honor to get the opportunity to participate in the AW Awards again and to be nominated for the second time. I put in a lot of work to get here… Well, I say “work,” but it’s a pleasure to be a cam model, really — I was still surprised when I got nominated again though.
It’s an amazing feeling — to know that doing the thing I love can also bring such rewards.
Do you consider your social media presence important for your success as a model?
Yes, I do. My Twitter account — @KhandiRogers — is something I pay attention to daily, even a couple of times a day. I post new pictures, retweet all posts that mention me, keep up with my fans, answer comments and messages and properly get involved.
I consider that, this way, my fans have another way of feeling closer to me, and I can become more known outside of LiveJasmin. I can interact with different people, get promoted on other accounts, and attract new members. I think it’s a lot of fun too, for me at least, to check my notifications and see what surprises await me and to post and see if my fans like what I’m doing.
Right now, for example, Twitter was an excellent and fast way to announce everyone I’ve been nominated in this category, and I got a lot of people congratulating me for it.

Have you always been this into social media?
Believe it or not, no. I’ve never had a personal Twitter, for example, although I had friends who had one so I knew a bit of the basics. I can’t say I got into proper contact with it until I started working as a cam model though.
Charm Studios, the live-cam studio I work for, has an amazing marketing department, and that’s how I learned the ins-and-outs of social media, how to post, what to post, etc. I have to say though, I enjoy it a lot, and I was fascinated by the whole thing when I started learning.
Why did you start camming, and did it help you achieve what you wanted?
I have been camming for four years. I started because I wanted to finish my studies, and my parents had no money to pay for my college. I tried working in fast-food, hoping to slowly get the sum I needed to pay my bills, and go to college, but I found it impossible.
I started camming, and honestly I haven’t looked back since. I’m achieving more and more every day, and I’m super happy with doing what I’m doing.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all my fans and the team from Charm Studios. Honestly, I couldn’t have been as succesful without professionals such as them backing me up and offering me support all the time.
