Oklahoma — located smack in the middle of the continental U.S., it’s known for bison, mistletoe, tornados, the Shannon Miller (she’s from there) and Lisa Love.
Lisa Love has been on cam since 2014, and today — at age 41 — she’s finding her groove in a major way. Love epitomizes the modern-day tenets of diverse income streams and community engagement – two things we love to talk about, but often struggle to enact.
Love took some time out to share a bit about her work life. Have a read, and you’ll want to be on Team Lisa! too.

YNOT Cam: Oklahoma?
Lisa Love: I’m from Oklahoma.
Thinking especially about more conservative parts of the country (like Oklahoma), what advice do you have for models who may be feeling isolation — both IRL and online, too?
Social media is great for cam models that feel isolated to get to know others. I talk to a couple of women on a daily basis that live states away. We talk about good and bad days camming. It can be lonely at times if you can’t talk to others that understand what you do, but if you can find just one cam model to share with, it helps your sanity.
Lately, you’ve been involved with the #camgirltakeover meet-up events happening across the country. What are those like?
The #camgirltakeover has been a great experience to be involved in. I have met some wonderful cam girls from other sites. I love just hanging out with them and getting to know them. We can talk about camming in a normal conversation. I now have some great friendships with them that I thought I would never have with girls in the industry. We have bettered ourselves with the knowledge we’ve shared with each other.

That has to be one of the best things about cam — the community.
One of my favorite things about being a cam model is all the great people I have met. One of the most challenging things is when people try to take advantage of you. Considering that, my best advice to give another model is always have fun; you can always say no.
You’re all about NiteFlirt. What is it, and how do you use it in conjunction with camming?
NiteFlirt has been around a long time. It started as just a call site, and now you can cam too, via Skype. Members call through NiteFlirt, then NiteFlirt calls you. Members look at profiles and read all the feedback other members give from shows you have already done. Then they call you. They never see your number or call you direct. NiteFlirt offers different fetishes that callers can seek out and models can specify: findom, BDSM, couples’ fantasies and others.
In terms of pricing, NiteFlirt gives models a percentage of every minute, and you set your own price per minute. You can also be in different categories, not just one. You price them as you wish.
I like NiteFlirt because I can turn myself on (accept calls) when I choose and don’t have to be live like you do on cam. They also have “goody bags,” which can be pics of you, videos, etc., that are for sale for members. The downfall is pacing. You may get one call a day, or several.
Signing off #NiteFlirt for a while, but you can still buy my goodies at https://t.co/zUgdlj9hbh.

School time! Let’s learn something relevant about Oklahoma.
Question: How does the state approach sex education? (Sex education ultimately impacts the way we think about sex, sex work and sex-related media.)
Answer: Last year, Oklahoma took steps to achieve “an abortion-free society” using state Department of Education funds. Governor Mary Fallin, the first woman to hold the office in the state, was the one to sign the “Humanity of the Unborn Child Act” into law. So now, when Oklahoma kids go to public school, they receive state-created materials/lessons teaching that life begins at conception — which is a fine belief, as people are totally allowed to think their own stuff, but it’s not the only belief.
Students also learn that there are just two options in the case of pregnancy: You can keep the baby, or you can put the child up for adoption.
