If there’s any doubt you have to watch your back on X as an adult creator, new content reporting put into place by Musk and his team should confirm that you really need to be diligent about your posting, direct messaging, and who is seeing it.
As reported on by Social Media Today, X has made it easier for viewers to report rule-breaking content with just a few clicks.
X now has a ton of simpler new options for reporting that make it far easier to report CSE and other illegal content. The reports are also one click so you don’t have to spend a lot of time clicking the next button. pic.twitter.com/nrKuWRKzFn

The new system gives users the ability to be more specific with their complaints and is a breeze. First they’re able to click one of the ten areas they’re complaining about – hate, abuse & harassment, violent speech, child safety, privacy, spam, suicide or self-harm, sensitive or disturbing media, misleading & deceptive identities, and violent & hateful entities. Then a second box will open where the person can be even more detailed.
Once the report is sent to X the user will get a screen confirming that the platform is taking the problem seriously and will look into it. In a Tweet posted on September 23, Musk further stated “We are also simplifying the internal workflow, which is now less of a Kafkaesque nightmare, and adding more resources to review user reports.” So, it appears these reports will actually be handled.
The new system means you’ve got to be even more careful about who you’re interacting with on the app.
This could have you walking on eggshells.
The main issue we are concerned about of course is the ease of reporting sensitive or disturbing media which includes graphic content and adult nudity and sexual behavior. That’s a broad topic and for some people the littlest thing could set them off and you’ve now lost your account.
Knowing this, sex workers really have to be diligent.
Protect your tweets for sensitive content first and foremost.
In addition, be careful with any auto-sends to DMs that you have in place for when users follow you. Even though it’s easy to assume that they want to see your sexy content, that’s not always the case. For example, I often get propositioned by sex workers even though I’m clearly not a buyer. I’ve thought they’ve followed my account to check out YNOT Cam posts, and I follow them back to support their work. I’m then shocked when I get a direct message of them wanting to send me nude photos. I tell them I’m a writer with YNOT Cam and not interested and still I get another message propositioning me because it’s all automated. I just ignore it or remove the user, but for the wrong person this could get you easily reported.
The new streamlined reporting process means that things could get more difficult for adult content creators so follow the rules of the platform and take a few extra precautions with who you reach out to so you can keep doing your account in good standing.
