There is a common saying: “Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket.”
In the adult industry, we are used to frequent changes, such as sites changing their terms, losing their payment processors or even going under completely. Does anyone remember YouKandy? Or, perhaps, OnlyFans saying that they will ban adult content completely and eating their words later?
Examples like these are good reasons why you should have more than one, or maybe even more than two sites up and running.
However, we rarely talk about having our eggs in too many baskets at once. While it is important to branch out and use a couple of sites, you also need to know when you are using too many. This can lead to burn out and feeling like you’re not quite achieving the desired results on any of them.
The First Signs When It’s Too Much
“I feel like not being able to keep up with what content you have loaded to each site and when is a good sign [that there’s too much on your plate]. Also, not being able to keep up with messages and orders,” says an adult content creator, Mayven Doll.
She used to take certain orders only on her main site ManyVids which made her workflow more manageable. This is a good strategy when maintaining several sites because your fan base will always know where your true home is and won’t be too scattered. Ideally, your home site is either one with the most relaxed rules, meaning that it allows a bigger variety of kinks, best traffic, or it pays a bigger percentage to you, or maybe there’s another reason why you prioritize it.
So, in a nutshell, if you can’t keep up with your content uploads, message responses and are feeling burnt out and uninspired, you might have too many sites on your hands. Where should you go from there?
Work Overload Solutions for Models
In less serious cases, you might be able to sort this problem on your own by improving your organization game.
First of all, do you have a set video release or cam schedule for each of the sites you’re using? Second, if you’re uploading a lot of the same videos on a few sites, you might want to create a spreadsheet of all of your videos and all of your sites to easily monitor what is uploaded where. Third, take notes on which sites are doing the best for you, and shift your main focus to them. This doesn’t mean that you can’t still update your secondary sites from time to time.
If the previous suggestions still haven’t solved your problem, it might be time to drop some less lucrative sites to free up time for your priorities. Or, if you are able to, you can outsource some of your work to someone else. This is why some sex workers hire assistants.

While your assistant won’t be able to film your videos or do your cam shows for you, they can certainly help you with the social media side of your business, video editing, uploading, responding to messages and fan site post scheduling.
