Every business has its own jargon, and camming is no different. While working as a cam model and/or content creator, clients may mention words or phrases that may be unfamiliar to you, especially for those who are new to this industry.
Many of your clients and fans will want to live out fantasies with you and through you via your interactions and performances. The following are examples of some words and phrases you may come across while performing as a webcam artist or content creator.
Vocabulary 101: Online Sex Work Lexicon Basics
If a client asks some “ATM” action, they are referring to Ass-to-Mouth play. In real-life, this would involve anal intercourse followed by oral sex. As a webcam performer, this could be simulated by inserting a dildo anally and then simulating oral sex on that dildo after removing it from your anus.
BDSM is an acronym that has been around for a while. The acronym itself stands for “Bondage/Discipline/Sadomasochism,” and it is generally believed that it made its first appearance in a Usenet group back in 1991. Today’s BDSM community contains many sub-cultures, so the term has evolved to cover a broad range of sexual proclivities as long as they are not “normal vanilla” sexual practices. Under the umbrella of BDSM one could be a cross-dresser, a fetishist, or a lover of animal role-play. The more “traditional” expression of BDSM is to use bondage in sex-play, domination, self-inflicted pain to cause sexual arousal or making others feel physical pain to become sexually aroused.
Another term you may hear is Cougar. A Cougar is a mature woman who likes to have sex with younger men. Typically, Cougars are women in their 40s, 50s and older who prefer men who are at least 10 or more years younger than themselves.
Another popular acronym is MILF which stands for “Mother I’d Like to Fuck.” Originally, this term was used to refer to women of any age who have children whom men found attractive and wanted to fuck. The acronym has morphed a bit now to include women in the 30- to 40-year-old range who are considered sexy and desirous.
You may encounter a client who wants you to treat them like your Cuckold. A Cuckold in an offline relationship is a married man who has a wife who cheats, usually with multiple men, and he knows about her infidelities. The cuckold husband finds the wife’s cheating to be a form of sexual pleasure. Many cuckolds will watch while their mate has sex with other men. He may even engage in their activities by prepping her for the other man or being sexually used by either the wife or the man she’s cheating with. In addition, there is usually some level of verbal humiliation involved. In the webcam world, a cuckold will want you to describe your escapades with other men while he listens. He will also most likely want you to humiliate and berate him during your session. The more this is done the more sexual pleasure he will experience.
A popular request from clients includes Deep Throating. This is the act of taking a man’s penis all the way down your throat, so his balls are hitting your lips. This is huge turn on for many men and can be simulated by giving oral sex to a dildo. You could gain a lot of followers by learning how to deep throat extra-large dildos.
