Faith Eros told us this story…
There once gathered a group of men who were complaining at my images and online persona overall. Basically, I fell a victim of jealousy, hatred and discrimination — all because I’m a nude model. It turned out that if my nudity goes against someone’s traditions, culture, religion, it can make some people feel ashamed.
Those crazy men hacked my Instagram account and were terrorizing me for a year online. They even tried to hack my phone, but with no luck. Basically, their claims were that I spoilt the reputation of the country by my images. In their opinion, a person who has such kind of Instagram account as I used to have can’t travel to their country at all.
I would say that the real damage of the country’s reputation are their men, not me. I still don’t understand why my content is viewed as an insult to the country, but those horny men of Oman are not considered to be an insult to their traditions and religion…
Herein lies a wider issue that every online content creator and sex worker in any occupation likely experiences — other people getting upset about their work, with alarming responses and consequences.
It’s tempting to brush it off, like, if people want to be soooo preoccupied with what others are doing, well, that’s their bad. And that’s true — but it’s also true that these situations can be realistically dangerous and psychologically taxing.
This is a difficult phenomenon to unpack, but it’s one that every content creator has experienced to some degree, at some point in their career. Be aware: This is not okay, but it is 100% real.
Faith went on to tell us a bunch of other interesting and good things too though — read on!

YNOT Cam: What prompted you to begin your career online?
Faith Eros: Since I was a teenager, I always wanted to be a model. I even tried to get signed up with several modeling agencies, but I was always rejected due to my height and acne prone skin.
Then one day I somehow discovered an online competition called “Playboy Miss Social.” At that time, I hardly had any pictures or overall content to post. I remember I saw that some models had profiles at ModelMayhem, so I decided to register myself on there too. By my own stupidity and immaturity at that time, I used my real name, which later on in my life reflected bad on me and prompted other people to harass me.
Of course, working with amateur photographers is not a stress-free job. Besides a model, most of photographers also need a psychologist — not all of them, but the majority. At least that’s what shows my own experience. And yes, most of them had their own fetishes, but I didn’t realize it at that time. Only later on I came to this conclusion.
So what made you switch from in-person modeling online content creation?
There was some point in my life when I reached the dead end and, due to my ongoing depression, I decided to quit the modeling and do something else with my life. Unfortunately, my past harked back at me, and it turned out that I was put in a class with a bad name. That’s how I returned back to the adult industry but already with a new name and fresh ideas.
Once when I was browsing Internet I stumbled at article about findom. When I read it, I was like “…It sounds like me!” I remember one photographer described me that I’m like a cat. He said: “You sleep most of the time. And you speak only when you want to eat.” Yeah, that’s true — I would ignore you most of the time, and I would come over only when it’s time to ask for money!
What are some of the best things about your work today? What about challenges?
Of course, the best thing about working online is freedom. You can do whatever you want to do and the way you want it to do. You also can connect with people from other parts of the world and present your work to them. I would say that there are no more boundaries to promote your artistic vision to wider audience.
At the same time, there are still restrictions applied to your art. You can’t really do or say whatever you want to say. Technically you can, but by doing so you will endanger your account to get deleted. There still would be censor applied to your work.
Additionally to that, the adult platforms and adult performers are being attacked all the time, so I would say working online is pretty stressful. There are no certainty. You never know what will happen with your source of income tomorrow.
That’s an intense – and brutally realistic – way to look at it…
I’m doing fetish clips only for a year, and I have already lost two platforms. On iWantClips I got deleted because I tried to dispute the $20 fee you have to pay for getting money you earned. At the moment, this is the heaviest fees charged by a clip store. In comparison, Clip4Sale charges you $0 and ManyVids charges you 0.75 cents. I don’t understand why iWantClips can’t register an account with bitsafe…
And OnlyFans — I deleted it myself because I didn’t like the idea that their system can regulate my money. It’s the same as on Instagram when your picture gets deleted because the system thinks it goes against the community guidelines. It turned out that the OnlyFans system can decide to refund money back to a cardholder if it thinks there was something suspicious in a customer’s behavior. I always wonder what would be next..?
And of course, if you were lucky enough to gather a certain amount of haters around your content, they can easily take down your social media account by reporting it. Unfortunately in this situation you won’t be able to do anything unless you are Kim Kardashian and you have a department of lawyers who will handle those things for you.
I love all your hair colors and wigs! Do you find that that kind of “appearance change” helps change up content for your fans?
I just have a wig fetish myself. I think it’s so cool to be able to have different hairstyles and hair colors on the same day. I’m just not really good at styling my own hair so I find it easier to use a wig. Plus, hairstyling might take another hour of your time to get ready, and then you would have to carry all those styling equipment with you if you shoot videos outside your house. Also, I have thin hair so without proper styling my hair might not look that appealing.
Overall, wigs are in trend now. Even Kim Kardashian uses wigs and a lot of other influencers. I believe that hair and makeup are one of the most important things for public people. I can perfectly understand why some celebrities have their own makeup artist and pay them a lot of money for their job.
There is a lot that goes into presentation — hair and makeup as well…
Nowadays, there are plenty of makeup artists, but there is only a few ones who really know how to do the makeup. You have not only to understand the structure of the face but also the overall style of the person. Also, in general, camera makeup is a completely different technique, and I got an impression that not all makeup artists understand that.
I remember once a photographer told me that men who will watch my videos, they don’t care about my make-up and they will pay attention to completely different things, but it turned out to be a completely different story. Once I went through comments to one of my videos and I saw men commenting there about how I overpaint my lips. They got really concerned with my lips for some reasons. And it was really funny for me to read those comments.

Outside of your career, what are you most interested in?
I like learning new things, traveling and watching documentaries, but I would say that at the moment my personal life and career are intertwined together.
It’s very complicated to find time for personal life when you have to combine different professions at the same time. I have to be a model, an actress, a producer, a camerawoman, a screenwriter, a makeup artist, a stylist and so on, and I’m still trying to find the ways how to promote myself. Perhaps marketing is something I’m not really good at.
If you could change one thing about today’s world, what would it be and why?
Nowadays, the market is oversaturated with different goods. When you go to store there are hundreds of different body creams and face creams and the only difference between them is brand and price. I mean how I suppose to pick up one? There is no signifier which brand supports me and which one will use my money against of me to harass me.
All those companies’ missions, visions and values are basically used to discriminate people from different societies. How can I know that my investment was a good investment? At the moment I feel myself somehow betrayed not having this information, so I would make things more open and transparent.
