“I’ve been in the modeling industry for four years and the cosplay industry for three,” Stephanie Eild shared. “I starting cosplaying after I fell in love with LARP and just kind of blended modeling with that — and that’s how I began cosplaying.”
LARP — Live Action Role-Playing — or LARPing, is a type of interactive role-playing in which participants physically portray the characters they are playing, often in costume and with props.
For Eild, cam is an opportunity to bring together all aspects of role-play, costume creation, and theatre into a career endeavor. Read on to learn more!

YNOT Cam: What prompted you to begin your career online?
Stephanie Eild: I was — and am still — a full-time student and a travel director. Before working from home though, like years back, I cleaned houses for a living while attending night classes. I switched to working from home when I got diagnosed with Lupus and my body just couldn’t keep up with the 8am-to-6pm job, plus schooling.
Omg we went from 36K to 45K subs on YT in less than 24 hours!! https://t.co/GcQhQ73M4I And jumped over 100 fans on https://t.co/10OYvMxph3 THANK YOU! pic.twitter.com/eKpgBcwqU2

What are some of the best things about working online? What about challenges?
I think one of the best things — and also worst things — is working for yourself and having you own hours. You’re not tied down to a 9-to-5, but it can also be hard to stay focused and not lounge around.
Thankfully, I still have some form of schedule I work from. I also love how may fans and friends I’ve come to know! Some of these people are literally like family now, and I’ve even met up with a few at cosplay conventions.
You are really into cosplay! How did you learn to make all your own costumes and designs?
I have learned everything I know from Kylo’s Creations on Facebook. He taught me how to create my visions, how to use a sewing machine and created my costumes for two years before we blended and created DK Fantasy Creation and Design.
How is BentBox different from other platforms of its type?
(Author’s note: BentBox works in a manner similar to eBay, AirBnb and Uber — but it’s specifically designed for photographers, videographers and content creators. Sellers upload their content in Boxes and set a price. Buyers pay the requested price to open the Boxes. I had never heard of BentBox before speaking with Stephanie!)
I love BentBox because you have the option to get paid in cash to your bank account or Amazon gift cards, which comes in handy for me. It also gives you the option to create your own prices, add to your boxes and split profits with your photographer — and they allow NSFW content and erotica.
You can have paid boxes and free boxes as well. People don’t have to subscribe if they don’t want to, so it’s a good platform for a consumer. If anyone wants to sign up, please reach out to me on Twitter — I will gladly give you my referral link and crash course you on the platform!
Outside of work, how do you like to spend your time?
I love to travel and get to do it a lot because of both jobs, although COVID has squished that this year. Now I spend every moment I can when I’m not working hanging out with my dog! I also enjoy reading, board games, video games and watching movie marathons.
If you could change one thing about today’s world, what would it be and why?
Can we all just get along please?
