What better way for you to show your support this upcoming Pride Month than to decorate your cam room with some cool stuff supporting the cause?
Celebrated every year in June to commemorate the uprising at Stonewall in Manhattan, Pride Month reminds everyone to be inclusive of our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters. Of course, the adult industry has always been ahead of the mainstream with open arms toward LGBTQ+ performers and fans, but sex workers can take it a step further by showing off some of the signature rainbow colors in their cam rooms in different ways during the month.
The place you’ll want to check out first which specializes in Pride flags and more nifty items is LGBT-Pride-Flags.com.
Recently launched by Nick Baer, who identified all the flag designs to be carried on the site (more coming) and arranged all of the outsourcing to PS and AI graphic artists – LGBT Pride Flags has been a passion project of his for quite a while.
Baer was just 28 years old in 1978 when the Pride Flag was introduced to the world by San Francisco Commissioner, Harvey Milk and he shared how much it meant to him: “The Pride flag, just like country flags became a rallying symbol that was readily embraced by all members of the community. My generation, pre-Stonewall, had grown up knowing the importance of the US flag post-WWII, Korea, Vietnam. With the 1980s health crisis, we had a new battlefield and needed a new battle cry, needing a new rallying symbol.”
“At Pride events, flags were used to decorate booths, worn as fashion accessories, and were handheld visual symbols of community, at a time when the community could have begun fraying at the edges, stated Nick. “Flags are quiet symbols and expressions. If nothing else, they’re colorful, eye-catching art.”
Just a few of the dozens of selections.
Currently on the site there are 34 different designs (more coming) based on the original that you can chose from – so there is definitely something for every cam room. Ideas for decorating include mounting flags vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, or draping the fabric ones from the ceiling like clouds. What about a shower curtain to add color to a steamy bathroom scene or wrap around your bod? The site also carries pillows which look colorful and nice on beds and chairs. And don’t forget a Pride tote bag “that can be displayed through hand modeling during a show as items are pulled out for show and tell.”
If that doesn’t speak to you, the site also has Jigsaw puzzles which can be creatively used to add spice to your room.
“For models who incorporate video games as Picture-in-Picture into their broadcasts, the online puzzle would be fun,” explained Baer. “Or models could assemble a physical jigsaw puzzle in person, with two cameras as Picture-in-Picture.”
Take a look around the site, see what trouble you can get into – and show your support!
In addition to finding all of the items on Nick’s LGBT Pride Flags site you can also order them directly from one stop shops like Fine Art America and Red Bubble and collections of each flag design (found on the LGBT Pride Flags site with corresponding links) are available as well in Print Book and eBook formats, Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble, and Rakuten Kobo.
