Hopefully you checked out Part 1, and have had some time to make your list of intentions for 2023 and categorize them into their appropriate areas:
Health/Fitness
Job/Business
Relationships
Finances/Money
Travel/Activities for Enjoyment).
Let’s continue working with finances because this is always a popular category, but the following process should be used for any category/intention you want to achieve this year.
Take a pen or pencil and write down a statement in present tense showing your appreciation for achieving this desire. Using the example of wanting a job that pays $20,000 more per year than your current job, you might write something like, “I am so thankful for this great new job I found that’s paying me $20,000 more per year than my old job. This boost in pay is fantastic and has made my life so much easier. Now I have over $5000 put aside in my savings account, and I was able to buy that new car I wanted. My life is so much easier now.”
This type of writing exercise will help your subconscious notice real-life opportunities that will bring your new higher paying job to fruition.
Next, write all the reasons you want to achieve this desire, in this example, a job paying $20,000 more per year.
What will getting an extra $20,000 mean to you and your family?
How will it change life?
What will this cash help you accomplish?
Once you have jotted down all the great things your fulfilled desire will bring into your life, now write about what would happen if you did NOT attain this desire.
How would your life be impacted if you did not get that job or position that pays an extra $20,000 per year (or more)?
How would this affect your family?
What would your life look like over the next year if everything just remains the same?
The exercises help to contrast what life will be like for you by achieving your desired outcome versus just letting things go on as usual. I am betting most people would prefer the life they would have by achieving their desired intention.
Do these writing exercises for each intention you want to accomplish in 2023 to uplevel your life.
An excellent way to achieve anything you want in life is to think and act like a person who has already fulfilled their intention.
My next and final article will help you achieve your 2023 desires by digging deeper into how to act like someone who has attained their desires while still in the midst of working toward your 2023 intentions.
