If you believe this sort of thing, there’s a lot of history out there about Lilith. Lilith is sometimes referred to as the first wife of Adam and said to have been “banished” from the Garden of Eden for not complying with some lady role and obeying her hubby. She’s also sometimes described as a primordial she-demon. Both versions of Lilith, in this writer’s view, kick quite a lot of ass…
…which brings us to Be A Lilith, who also kicks quite a lot of ass!
“I have a unique perspective because I started camming at 58 and have been able to make it my career,” Be A Lilith shared with YNOT Cam. “I’ve been doing it for over four years now with no plans to stop.”
One of the greatest things about online sex work is that – if you choose it – it can be for everyone. There are so many different outlets and options to monetize, and no matter who you are, your tribe and your people and your fans are out there waiting to connect.
“I’m most proud of my sense of humor, as it has saved my life on more than one occasion,” she continued. “It took me 60 years to realize that others’ opinions of me do not matter, and I am embracing being my true self.”
Bravo!
Be A Lilith’s assertions above speak to the idea that some demographics supposedly render online sex work a less-than-optimal idea… and that’s just not true. Read on to learn more about this badass woman’s story in the industry so far.

YNOT Cam: Can you tell us about your background?
Be A Lilith: I turned 62 in November and life has never been better. I was born and raised in Southern California, and I’ve tried to leave the state several times but the weather and convenience is hard to beat.
I’ve been married four times and finally figured out it’s not for me. I have always been a very independent loner. I am an introverted empath of the highest order and find it difficult to be with people for extended periods of time.
If I could change one thing about myself it would be not to spend so much time in my own head. I’m loving and compassionate and the great sorrow of my life has been that those qualities are exploited instead of appreciated and cherished. I always felt I was cursed with being “fuckable” — women think I want their husband, and men think I want to have sex with them. I never felt seen as a person.
I have always been very intuitive sexually. I am a high level pleaser, and I listen to what people are saying to me. I believe that is what makes me successful: my listening skills, my open mind and my varied experience.
I’ve always loved the underbelly of life. I have always been a weirdo, dancing to the beat of my own drum but spent most of my life unhappily trying to be normal. This is what I love about being a sex worker and camming — I can be myself freely and my audience can take me or leave me.
What are some of your interests and pre-cam career explorations?
I couldn’t live without music, it has always been my escape. I am very dedicated to pole dancing, and I love how much it encompasses my total being while doing it and pushes all other thoughts out.
Before cam modeling, I was an amateur ballroom dancer for pleasure and competed many times. I started dancing at age 50.
I think I have had every kind of career imaginable, from cleaning houses to Executive Assistant to the President of an international non-profit organization. I also worked for ten years as an administrator at a university. I just got sick of hypocrisy of academia. Academicians are insufferable and needy, and it drove me crazy.

So how did you get into cam specifically?
After the initial challenge of a new job, the jobs lost my interest and I became disenchanted with my coworkers.
I started camming over four years ago, and it is honestly the best decision I ever made. I had been out of the workforce for a few years and had just exited an unhappy 15 year marriage. I joined dating apps and quickly got tired of the DTF messages. One of the guys I met — who really just wanted to get his rocks off via video chat with me on a regular basis — told me I should check out Streamate, and history was made.
I have acting experience. I spent many years on very minor stages and way too much experience with men because I was a person who couldn’t say no but didn’t like who I was saying yes to. I had no confidence whatsoever when I started and was thrilled anyone would pay to spend time with me.
I give 120% to every show, even when I don’t particularly like what I’m doing. My mantra is “this too shall pass.” I’ve done that enough times with talentless lovers, and I’d much rather do it online! I pride myself on making a guy cum hard. I work really hard to be the best I can be for my fans.

You used to be referred to as Bluemynx..?
I started my career on Streamate as Bluemynx. A boyfriend called me his mynx and my hair was blue. I liked it and became Bluemynx.
Shortly thereafter, a friend sent me a sketch of an anime character Bluemynx. In fact, I have the tattoo of the sketch on my thigh. I didn’t know it was copyrighted!
About a year and a half ago, I was sent a cease and desist letter from an attorney for Bluemynx LLC, and had 30 days to rebrand. It really caused an upset to my psyche, but it was fairly easy to rebrand with Streamate and because our social media accounts are discontinued without warning I am always prepared with a parachute.
I had toyed with the name Be A Lilith previously and just bit the bullet and changed everything over with a minimal loss of fanbase. I was really attached to my identity as Bluemynx so it was an emotional loss. I have since learned to separate myself from my onscreen persona.
What can you tell us about getting started in online sex work in your 50s?
Regarding my age: I think it’s great camming at my age, and I came up with my Nasty Granny character to embrace it as my nitch.
I am a Rational Satanist, so I do not have the religious inhibitions that others do. I embrace taboo familial fantasy role play. The most difficult aspect of taboo role play is the current climate against porn and the ever changing rules regarding freedom of speech.
I feel it is important to act on your sexual fantasies in a safe environment and camming provides for that. My typical demographic is 21 to 45. I rarely have fans my own age.
I believe sex should be fun and my shows are hella fun. I stand out in my age category because I am so different than the other grandmas, and I am open-minded, friendly and encouraging to my fans.
If you could change one thing about today’s world, what would it be and why?
If I could change one thing in the world it would be people minding their own business and stop believing others have to live and believe the way you want to.
I would also like women in porn to quit reinforcing men’s ideas about how a woman’s body works. A clitoris is not a miniature penis. There’s no ejaculation, and the squirting myth drives me insane! Biology doesn’t work that way — one vessel is for delivery, and the other is for receiving. My clitoris is not stimulated by going increasingly faster. It is not a penis! And while I’m on the subject, I don’t have a prostate so sticking things up my butt doesn’t thrill me the way it does men.
Why instead can’t we teach [men] how to be more successful lovers?
