“Hello! I am Lady D’Anna, and I am from Transylvania,” Lady D’Anna shared, as if she needed to get that piece of info out first. And who can blame her? I imagine the the “vampire thing” is just as tedious as the “cowboy thing” when you’re from Texas.
Transylvania is a “historical region” inside Romania. Lady D’Anna moved there almost four years ago in order to escape the big capital city of Bucharest.
“My background is very undecided and in different areas, but this wasn’t by choice,” she explained to YNOT Cam. “It probably was my fate or just my country’s faulty system. Most teens here are in a real struggle finding good jobs or being able to have more than a poverty life. Even today, most of my generation can’t get a house without a thirty year struggle of work because that’s what you need to borrow if you don’t have rich parents or supporting ones.”
Within this context, Lady D’Anna has worked in the industry now for ten years.
“For me, this was a learning process for life and helped me discover myself more, especially the past 10 years in the industry,” she shared. “I just realized in October two days after my birthday I make 10 years around. And what changed in 10 years? People are starting slowly to accept we [sex workers] are really working, some more than other ‘normal’ jobs as they call it. I hope soon platforms will start understand as well that they need us and not reversed.”
To further her fully international perspective, Lady D’Anna shared how she chose her name.
“My name is actually an inspiration after my role model, Lady Di from the UK Royal Family. I loved how she stood up to everything and fought for her way,” she said. “My stage name before was DevilnotAngel and, like many others, it was kinda hard to find a name that would fit me and I was avoiding to put my name in it because I was scared to be found out.”
“Joining the Twitter community kinda opened my eyes, and I saw I don’t need to care nor be afraid what others think about me. So I decided in the end to put my name on it: Anna.”
It’s amazing to hear about something positive coming out of Twitter for once! Read on to learn more about Lady D’Anna and her career in the industry thus far.

YNOT Cam: What prompted you to begin your career online?
Lady D’Anna: My background is very diverse, but I started in school with art. In the year, we had to choose one major, but I have done it all of them. Two weeks of each: painting, sculpture, design, cartoons, and so on. I went to cartoons without knowing at that time in my country I had no future with it. It was 20 years ago, so yeah at that time, no one here was doing cartoons as a job.
In the end went to Business Administration for two years and supposed to graduate in third year but the school got closed. I went another two years in finance and banking, but life forced me to drop it because of money. In the end, I ended up working in finance in a 9-to-5 job.
Due to some life issues after some good years, I had to drop my job and start work from home. This is when I got to this industry: online content creator and cam, marketing, business, graphics, web design and so much more. Right now, I am thinking all that bad luck actually got me to learn a lot more about me and the stuff I was able to do.
What’s a common misconception those outside the industry have about your job?
Many think it’s an easy job to be online or exclusive online, but behind the curtains there are a lot of things to be done and sometimes you end up working 24/7 for it. Once the camera goes off you don’t really stop. You still reply to tweets, you still write emails, you still make content and shootings and plan things or send DMs with your latest offer and so on.
My best advice: Make a schedule daily and weekly and stick to it! I still struggle with that personally and is not easy to make things without one.
I see you recently published a blog about getting started in the industry. What prompted you to want to support new creators by sharing info in this way?
I am aware many others know more and have more experience with [the industry]. I am also aware I am still learning new things myself, but I guess I was just thinking that some others have made a blog or wrote about [getting started]. In my early years, I have discovered them and they helped me. I can just give it back myself and share what I know.
My motto is: If I know it and it helps, I will share it!
I am not honestly planning to be a mentor or such. I know many are doing this, some only for the cash involved and that’s understandable why. I don’t want to make it that way. I just want to share what I know and hope in time the blog will become bigger and full of good resources for newbies.
I also see you have some blogs about dreaming! What is your interest there?
Those are actually Wikipedia quotes, but I do have an obsession with dreams. My first video in the industry was actually called “Lucid Dreams.”
We all have dreams, and I wanted to get back to the erotic side of porn with this. I have been always a fan of X-Art and Met-Art, even before my starting in this industry. Somehow I wanted to show my inspiration they gave me. Because after all, the online content is about the wish to have more, to dream more. Yeah, I am a dreamer…
Can you tell us about being a “friendly Transylvanian vampire”?
Oh that is a bit of a joke because people actually love vampires, and they want to be bitten. By telling them I am friendly, I am kinda tricking them I won’t bite.
Honestly before COVID I wanted to make a tour of my areas and show the positive side of my country, teaching people about vampires and more. We have so many beautiful traditions here, but people only know about Dracula.
I hope after all this pandemic is ending to finally give to the public more information about the area I am living and the people here. After years of struggle, I started to love my country as it is and the people in it. I want to share that.
Outside of work, what are you most interested in?
I am a multitasking person, so really I can’t have only one. I do love anime, movies and music. I kinda breathe music and can do anything if I have a good background music. When I can I go out cycling or roller skating and planning to have more hiking in the future, we have some cool places here to be seen.
When I have time, I also love to paint and draw. I have some plans with these soon especially with drawing, but I’m waiting on some things first to happen. Probably a naked porn cartoon coming soon – we will see.
If you could change one thing about today’s world, what would it be and why?
I would change humans to have more humanity inside them or more compassion. They need to learn no one is above others, nothing lasts forever and nothing gets taken in the afterlife, so they better be more humble — and more human.
