“My cam name has always been RoughRider420, but for some of the more professional stuff I do I have been going under the name Brody Biggs” — and so begins our time learning about one of the sweetest of guys/manliest of men currently working online.
Biggs — also known as @RRider420 on Twitter — has been a cam model for just over two years, and he lives in Canada. “I currently reside in the Great White North, however I sometimes escape the long Canadian winters in Arizona,” he shared, which to me sounds like the wisest way to do it.
During his time working online, Biggs has experienced a lot of growth and opportunity — but he has also observed some holes in the overall game, which are themselves an artifact of wider social issues, that have created a gender-related imbalance in the cam space. Read on to learn about construction, working out, fostering dogs and what it’s like to create a presence in online sex work as a guy today.

YNOT Cam: What prompted you to begin your career online?
RoughRider420/Brody Biggs: I was in the construction industry working a forty hour per week job, which I loved, however in that industry you usually get a lot of time off during the winter months. I was always looking for a side gig or something to pay the bills while I wasn’t working construction.
I had never heard of cam models before or even knew that career existed, but I had always had a passion for staying fit and going to gym regularly and I have always had a fun sexual side of me that I felt comfortable with. Once I found out I could combine the things I love doing and make a living, I became incredibly focused at learning my new craft and figuring out what I needed to do to succeed in this fun new opportunity of my life.

What are some general observations you have about working online?
I am humbled at the opportunities that webcaming has provided me. It has allowed me to travel all over the USA and Canada, and it gives me the freedom and flexibility to do what I want, when I want. At the same time, it has taught me valuable life lessons like being self-disciplined in your craft and the CEO of your own business.
There is no handbook for camming. It’s something you teach yourself. I have had a lot of challenges along the way of figuring out what works best. It is definitely a female-dominant industry and, through my general observations, men do not get enough credit or exposure in this industry.
You were one of the very first people Wes Myers suggested we speak to for #YNOTMen. Why
do you think that is?
I think Wes and I both have the same passion for creating more awareness towards males in the industry today. I know Wes is very determined and committed to this initiative, and I love that about him.
Let’s be honest – he’s right. We do not get enough recognition. I would like to acknowledge that I love the female cam model community and without them we would not be where we are today as male cam models, but it’s just time the men get a little recognition.
What are some of the unique struggles that men sex workers online have to deal with?
In general, some of the struggles male cam models face are similar to female cam models — building a fan-base and a brand, hitting your show goals on a daily basis and keeping viewers coming back to watch your show. However, some of the unique struggles male cam models face IMO on a day-to-day basis may be sexual preference of the viewer, be they gay, straight or bi, which may differ from my sexual preference. There’s also performing for long periods of time — female camshows are generally a lot longer – and, to put it simply, the top males in the industry make a fraction of what the top females in the industry make.
How do you balance 420 enthusiasm with workout enthusiasm?
Great question! It has always been something that has just worked for me, but I’m sure not for others. I really think it’s more about your drive and determination to go to the gym than how much you smoked or consumed that day. Even the days you don’t feel like going [to the gym], those are the probably in my opinion the most important days to go – and a good sativa can always be used to replace that pre-workout supplement!
For me, it’s a balance. Weed keeps me happy and the gym keeps me happy, so it’s a no brainer for me. I get that’s not the outlook for most, but it works for me. If it’s creating distractions though, I would recommend getting that workout in before sparking that spliff!
You are a dog lover, foster and advocate. How do you give so generously and avoid “foster fail”?
This has always been a huge challenge for me, and I struggle with this issue for almost every dog I foster.
To put it short: it’s not about me, it’s about the dog. It’s about finding the dog the best fur-ever home that me and the rescue organization can provide, which in most cases may even be a better life that I can provide for the dog — like, living with other dogs, providing a much bigger yard to run in than my apartment or living with a full family. Also I currently have been traveling a lot of months of the year, so unfortunately for now I’m just fostering.
At the end of the day, I get just as much out of it as the dog does. The rewarding feeling I get for making a difference in that dogs life is indescribable. Seeing the past dogs you have fostered now years later happy and enjoying their new life in there fur-ever home is a feeling I can’t begin to describe and would recommend everyone experience.
Outside of work, what are you most interested passionate about?
Lot of people don’t know this about me, but I have a huge passion for poker and study the game a lot — you might have even seen me in Las Vegas once or twice. So don’t try to bluff me, it will never work.
If you could change one thing about today’s world, what would it be and why?
I would rescue every dog that doesn’t have a home. It’s so scary and heartbreaking seeing some of the abuse and neglect these dogs have went through before they were rescued. No dog or animal should ever experience that. If I could change that for every dog, I would, but unfortunately I can’t, so for now Il’l just have to do it one at a time!
