Delice Russo is currently 24-years-old and cams out of Russia. Also known as DeliciousAngel, she’s been in the industry for five years now — and counting.
Long before Russo was an independent glamour model and creative force on cam, she was a creative and clever youngster. She’s also very into Christmas.
“Let me tell you something very funny about myself from when I was a child,” she shared. “I remember I was like nine or ten years old and on TV was a show about Christmas. They had a phone number people could call, and they said you can talk with Santa and also you could win some gifts. I remember I called so many times that that number was blocked by the company [my parents] were subscribed to!”
“After one month, when the bill from the phone came and my parents saw how much money they had to pay, they ruined my dream and told me that Santa doesn’t exist. I said: ‘No, he is alive, I talked to him, I swear!’ My parents were like gosh this girl is crazy.”
Russo is still Christmas-spirited, but these days it’s her all the people are trying to call – maybe even Santa? Let’s learn more about this snowy Christmas angel from the north.
YNOT Cam: What prompted you to begin your career online?
Delice Russo: I started my career when I was a student, by curiosity. In all this time I could focus myself just on school and on being a good model day by day. I finished two universities, and I’m thinking to start a new one next year. This was my first job and, for the moment, is the only thing I like to do.
Camming is not for everyone — this is my opinion. I love what I do and nothing could change that. For the future, I have different plans. I want to become a psychologist and help as many people as I can. Being a cam model made me see how much I love to help others when they are in bad situations. I can say this work made me discover myself, and that’s what I want to do.
From best to worst, what are some general observations you have about working online?
The best thing in this industry is the way you interact with so many people. You learn lots of stuff about other countries, about how people think, what choices people make in life and things like this. In my opinion, it is very important to learn to focus yourself on the good things this industry can bring in your life — the way it makes you discover yourself.
Challenges are so many. Some members are rude and will try to make you feel bad for no reason – or, just because this makes their ego feel better. But I think this industry can bring more positive things into your life than negative ones. It is not easy and, as I said, I don’t think camming is for everyone. But even if the road is not easy, it deserves all the work. If you have a dream, just go for it no matter how hard you have to work for it.
Your Twitter bio describes you as being independent. What are some unique issues independent models deal with in the workplace?
I was working in a studio for my first two years, and for some models this may be the most easy option. The studio does all the work for you. You go to work everyday on a normal schedule you choose by yourself and sit in front of a webcam.
When you’re working from home, it’s different. You have to work ten times more than before. You have to think about everything: to take care of your image, of your social media, of your profiles and accounts, to search best photographers, to buy all the stuff you need and to read a lot everyday about every new things that appear in the industry. But to be honest, I prefer the things in this way.
In a studio, your colleagues can be bad and make you feel weak. Competition changes things. I had days when I hated to go to work just because of this. Now I’m much more happy. I don’t have to be in a competition with anyone, just with myself.
You seem to use Stripchat a lot for work. Why should other models consider using it?
Stripchat is a very easy platform. I like it because I have lots of friends there. I love it because I feel free — not so many rules like on other sites. You can be who you are for real, and you will find the people who will love you for that. The support Stripchat gives to their models I never saw on other sites. It’s like the company, the models and the members are a big family. That makes a big difference in this industry.
Outside of work, what are you most passionate about?
I love to read. I read a lot of books. This is the only thing that can relax my mind when I’m very tired after an entire week of work. Also, I have a new love — Netfilx. I have days when I just watch at series for 24 hours without any break.
Also, I like to cook when I have time. Sometimes I go to the gym, and for that I like to eat healthy and to prepare my food alone. Also, I love to visit fancy places to eat different types of food.
I have a cat. His name is Lord, a black Persian, and I love him so much. He sleeps with me every night, and I love to spend lots of time with him in my free days.
If you could change one thing about today’s world, what would it be and why?
I would love to change the mentality of people, to make them be a better person for themselves first. I would like to see more happy people on the street. I would like to see more people who help each other without reason. I would like to see more people talking and feeling real love and stop loving others with interests. I would like to see people who love themselves and are proud of whom they have become in time.
Sometimes people just forgot to look around and see that we all are equal. I would love to make this world a happy place. I look around me and I see to much hate. People are in a competition for no reasons and they start to hate each other without reason. This world become a place where if you have the most expensive car or if you wear the most expensive watch you’re somebody. No, you’re still nobody if in your way to get those things you went over others souls. Doesn’t matter how big your house is, how new your car is or how much money sits in your bank account, if you forgot to be human, you’re nobody.
