Hailing from Spain, Cody Bryan Maverick is an androgynous FTM model on Chaturbate and ManyVids. We got the opportunity to speak to Maverick recently and learned so much about international webcam, kindness and a general love of where cam can take you.

YNOT Cam: Can you tell us a bit about who you are and your background?
Cody Bryan Maverick: I am 23 years old. I tend to say that I am eighteen because many people say I look younger. After a while, when I know the person a little bit, I confess my real age.
I am from Spain, from a small village. I started to broadcast on Chaturbate in May of 2017. When I started, I didn’t follow any schedule. Now I do, and I am so glad I did it because it’s important to have regulars.
If I can say one fact, I need to say it’s that many people think I read a lot because, since I was young, I had good skills for writing. The reality though is not that. When I start writing something, it’s like the words flow by their selves — in my main language of Spanish, of course.

What prompted you to begin your career online?
Before to be a cam model, I was a student. I was studying for my technical degree in computer sciences. A friend told me about camming, and I found it awesome! The way I can do it at home [is important to me], and I can finance my studies and maybe my future business too.
What’s the cam scene like in Spain?
I need to say that I don’t know many people from Spain that are into the camming industry. To be more exact, I only know two people. One of them is my best friend of my childhood. I introduced her into this, and she loves it. The other one is a friend I met on Twitter.
Honestly, I feel this career is more exciting in the U.S. Those conventions look awesome, and it seems easier to find people who are into this [career].
What is the best thing about working as a model?
The best thing about camming is that you are your own boss. You schedule it when you want it. You decide what to do and what not to do. Just because one user wants to see something does not mean you must do it. The limit is yours.
When I started camming, I made myself a challenge: to overcome my social phobia. Before camming, I was a very antisocial person and camming helped me much. Meeting new people each day is awesome!
To feel, in one way or another, that you are helping people to have a good time with you is great. And it not only involves sexual actions. Some people, what they need is to spend time with someone and, that way, they forget a little bit about their problems and it helps them to feel less lonely. I feel good knowing in some way I helped someone.
Outside of camming, what are you most passionate about? (I see on your Chaturbate page that you donate some tips to animal welfare — how great!)
I am in love with computers and also planes. Since I was a child, I was a big fan of aero-modeling. After, during my teen years, I woke up to my big interest in the financing world. Actually, I work as a stock trader too, and I plan to focus my career on that and the business world.
I also have a great love for animals. I always was so sensitive a person. I feel bad when I see homeless people and also animals. I feel the same sadness for all of them because all of them are living beings.
But the moment when I felt the most empathy about it, it was when I was 18 years old and my partner was homeless for nine months. I saw him and more homeless people and animals as well, and that was the moment where I felt something intense I have never felt before. I felt an extreme empathy.
In the future, if my cam modeling career goes well, I will work on donations for homeless people too.
If you could change one thing about today’s world, what would it be and why?
I would change the hunger in the world and the poverty. I feel sad that continues happening. Everybody should have a safe place and food to eat.
