After ten years online, you might be done. Like, you might be over camming. And if you are, that’s great self-awareness — but what do you do with a decade’s worth of webcam knowledge?
If you’re Irina Kings, you start WebcamNews.com!
Kings, who will be 32 in December, hails from Romania
“I’ve worked in the adult industry for ten years now, and I had my own studio in Bucharest for about a year,” she shared.
“In 2012, I moved back to my hometown and started all from zero again. Now I am pursuing a new aspect of the adult industry — WebcamNews — and I find it challenging. I learn something new everyday.”
We sat down with Irina Kings to learn a bit more about her new endeavor and her goals overall.
YNOT Cam: What prompted you to begin your career online?
Irina Kings: Before I was a cam model, I was working as a waitress in my hometown. At some point, I moved to Bucharest, and that is where it all started. I was watching some television show with couples who were asked all sorts of personal questions. The more they would answer, the more money they would win. One of the questions for the girl was about if she was a cam girl. She answered “yes” and gave some more details about it.
It was pretty interesting for me as I was coming from a more conservative background — never in my life had I even heard anyone swear in my house. So on the next day, I looked in the newspaper and went for an interview at a studio — and here I am ten years later still in the industry.
What are some general observations you have about camming – highlights, challenges?
Here, I must answer from an independent model’s perspective because I only worked in a studio for about two months. For me, best aspects were that I could choose my schedule, not having a boss to keep bugging you and — of course — the money. I do believe that any woman can be a successful cam model if she is dedicated.
What is challenging is working with people. You get to meet so many people from all over the world, and not all are nice.
What prompted you to stop camming and start WebcamNews.com?
I lost interest in camming overall. I started to go online less and less, interacting with people less and I just said to myself that for me it is time to move on and do something else. At the point when I quit camming, I was not really sure what to do next. The opportunity to work with webcamnews is something I am grateful for.

What can models expect to find on WebcamNews that’s useful improving business, balancing work and personal lives, etc?
I try from my experience to write articles that would help people as cam models, advice, how I dealt with certain situations but also events and more. I do believe that models can find useful information on webcamnews.com — This is just the beginning for us.
Outside of work, what are you most passionate about?
Photography, painting and cats! I am also a med student — nurse to be — so medicine is also my passion but in all honesty, I cannot say it is the biggest passion of mine.
If you could change one thing about today’s world, what would it be and why?
I am a pacifist so I would really love to change all the hate that is going on. I would love to live in a world where people are kind to each other even when they have no personal interest. No more wars, no more shootings in schools. You can say I am a dreamer, but that is the world I would like to live in.
I always have this quote in mind: “In a world where you can be anything… be kind.”
