Anyone can be a camgirl, but not anyone can be a successful one. You will need to put in a lot of effort, invest in yourself and work hard.
Both physical and psychological qualities can have an impact on a model’s success. Whereas psychological strengths center on your emotional management and wellbeing on cam, physical “strengths” are often arbitrary and can vary as quickly as your current client’s tastes or desires.
There’s no one “ideal” way to look and there’s no way to be appealing to all people, but there are aspects of your physical self that you can (and should!) focus on. Physically speaking, here are some self-care aspects that I’ve observed really helping models be successful in the camming industry. If you do you in your own way, the people who love your brand of sexy will come running.
Attention to tiny details
Be it the camera in your room at home or a camera in a studio, the eye of the lens is unforgiving. Add lighting, any sort of a zooming in and out, your own motions and gestures and jumping around and… well, it’s easy to see how everything can and will be visible to your clients.
Make sure that you are happy with your presentation!

Do your ‘do
Be it a perfect blowout, artfully messy hair or a sporty look, it’s important to think about your hair. In fact, your hair can actually be the key piece that makes or breaks whatever look you’re trying to achieve. Vampy everything with casual hair doesn’t work, just like bedroom eyes with a highly structured ‘do isn’t the most congruent.
Make sure the top of your head compliments your look, whatever that look may be.

Mani/pedi
There’s no two ways about it: It pays to pay attention to your nails – fingers and toes, obviously.
The possibilities for nails are endless. Try following some great nail artists on Instagram — @jennynails and @karlasoriginailkolors are amazing — go to a salon or even ask a friend who knows what they’re doing. Definitely find a look that works for you, but you simply cannot neglect your nails.
Makeup
Putting your best face forward is important. If you decide to wear makeup on cam, remember that lighting and a camera changes everything. The lighting in your room or in a studio can transform you — for the better and for worse.
Lights can be quite harsh, and if you don’t know what to do they will wash you out. Regardless of your look, your makeup on camera should be stronger than what you would normally wear outside. Even if you don’t like very strong makeup, remember that for work purposes a lot will go a long way.
It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.#WednesdayWisdom #girlsfromstudio20 pic.twitter.com/KoF7x9nNEd

Sexy, creative, diverse outfits
The importance of sexy, creative and diverse outfits can’t be stressed enough. Your outfits on camera should fit your style, but some things worth investing in include your perfect lingerie, your perfect sexy dress that shows off cleavage or legs, and — of course – a perfect pair of heels.
Pro tip: Accessories can help a simpler outfit, transforming the exact same clothing into multiple looks. Make sure to buy different types of jewelry to suit your needs.

A well body
Diverse body types obviously have success in camming, but taking care of your health and physical wellness is important no matter what body type you are. Stick-thin doesn’t work for every model, nor is it an appealing look for every client. Regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle will radiate from within though, no matter your look.

These are just a few well body dimensions worth thinking about when you’re working on your cam-self. Again, it’s important to remember that there is no one ideal way for any of this. Work these things – from nails for creative looks – in a way that works for your own unique brand of sexy.
Develop, grow and work on yourself, and you’ll surely start to see successes in your career
