This natural disaster Hurricane Harvey is no joke.
Austin, TX (where much of YNOT is located) is experiencing an unprecedented amount of rain, but this is mild compared to other parts of the state. In Houston, things are especially bad.
Per the New York Post, “It’s catastrophic, unprecedented, epic — whatever adjective you want to use,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Patrick Blood. “It’s pretty horrible right now.”
The weather drenched Houston with two feet of rain Sunday morning 27 August, and twelve Texas counties were under a flash flood emergency warning — and this could continue for several more days.
“I know for a fact this is the worst flood Houston has ever experienced,” Blood added.
We are sending safe, dry vibes to our neighbors in South Texas and the HTX, all of who are dealing with so much right now.
Love y’all #texasforever
