Living in Southern California like I do means we have bikini weather for at least six months out of the year — and living on cam bumps that six months up to 24/7.
As a cam model, you’re most often on display in some way. That’s part of the job. Generally that means, outside of certain fetishes and looks, some sort of hair-scaping. Though how we manage our hair varies by preference, the places on our bodies we want hair-free skin often suffer.
Shaving — every day, every other day, or once in a blue moon — can take a toll out on your skin, often in the form of razor bumps.
Razor bumps (pseudofolliculitis barbae), also called razor burn or ingrown hairs, are small bumps in the skin that develop after shaving. Sometimes, when a hair is cut off at the point where it exits the skin, it can curl back and start growing inwards. These ingrown hairs cause irritation to the hair follicle, which swells into a small red lump that looks a bit like a pimple. Aside from completely spoiling the clean-shaven look, these bumps can hurt and, in some cases, can even scar.
No area of the body is immune, either. If you shave your arms, you can find those pesky little bumps there. Bikini line – obvs. Neck, legs and tummy, too, can get bumps, bumps, bumps.
The only foolproof way to prevent bumps (if you get them) is to skip the shave – but that’s not always the preferred option. Enter: GiGi.
I have found a product that can help smooth out those bumps and even get rid of butt pimples. This magical product is called No Bump Solution by GiGi. Yep: the makers of hair removal wax since 1972.
No Bump Solution costs a little less than $10 from places like Amazon and should last about a month or so. There is a whole line of No Bump products. From shaving gel to body scrub, these products will ensure smooth ,soft skin, even when the hair is growing out and spiky.
Here’s my routine. Start in the shower.
1. If you’re shaving that day, I would either skip the body scrub or go light in pressure if your skin is sensitive. You don’t want to irritate the skin because your results are going to be counterproductive.
2. Shave using the shave gel. When done, pat your skin until just damp and apply the No Bump Solution in areas that get “bumpy.” This is a leave-on treatment, so don’t wash it off.
Also – and don’t be proud – apply to the butt cheeks if you get butt pimples.
3. Apply the skin treatment daily, preferably after showering. You should see the bumps disappear in a few days, and the pimples will reduce or disappear in about a week.
This product has really made a difference in my skin, and I’m happy to share my happy results with you.
