After 10 years as a cam girl, Sierra Lovelea has seen it all. She specializes in fetish play, which she says “can be a little strange the first few times.” Fetish niches can be very profitable, though. So can camming on Skype instead of more traditional platforms.
Describe yourself.
Every cam model has a persona. You have femdoms; you have teen-type models. My persona is based around fetish. I do pretty much any kind of fetish, and I am a switch, meaning I also do femdom and submissive camming. It all depends on what the customer wants, but I believe this is the best way to be, multifaceted.
How long have you been camming?
Like many other webcam models, I do a mix of webcam work and fetish-clip production. Many websites offer a mix of both webcam work and selling of clips. I myself started off making fetish clips and later started webcamming on my own.
I have been doing a mixture of the two for about 10 years.
What is the best thing about camming?
It’s a lot of fun. You get to meet a huge variety of people, and each person has something interesting about them. I learn a lot from the people I meet, and they help me understand things about myself often, too. Every time I cam with someone I learn something new, and I have a ton of fun learning about the person I’m camming with.
What’s the most challenging thing about being a model?
Competition. Also finding the right site for you. I have found that running my own show works best for me. I didn’t like working for cam sites, so I started doing webcam on Skype. I set my own rates, and I don’t have to sit around and play games trying to get someone to go into private chat with me. Many other models love working on cam sites and are most successful that way. So the most difficult part of being a cam model is finding your place, where you work best, and building up your fan base when you find your place to cam.
What advice would you give to a new model?
Don’t give up. Things are usually discouraging in the beginning. Try different websites, do research. There are a lot of websites that offer tips and guidance. Use that to your advantage!
The biggest advice I can give is, remember your customers are here to get away from their everyday reality. You are here to be an actress. Don’t talk about your personal life, personal problems. Leave home life behind. Once you go on cam, become a chameleon. Become what each customer is looking for, and you will be successful.
What’s the most fun you’ve ever had on cam?
I role-played a kitty-mommy. I was dressed up in a cat costume, but I was playing a mother persona. So I would say “be a good boy for Mommy, meow.” It was fun and really out there. Role-playing and costume cam shows are great.
What’s the weirdest request you ever got? Did you do it?
I get ABDL [adult baby diaper lover] requests a lot. Diapers are a huge fetish. I’m used to it by now, but to a new model, when you’re asked to put a diaper on or when you have a customer in a diaper wanting you to instruct him to “pee-pee like a good boy,” it can be a little strange the first few times.
Where can peeps check you out?
I do all my webcam on Skype. My skype name is SierraXXXLovelea, and anyone can add me and ask for a show anytime. Also follow me on Twitter @SierraLovelea to see all my other projects.
